Marketing Tip: Plan Your Content In Advance

There’s something so satisfying about sitting at your laptop to plan your Instagram posts rather than on your phone. For the past year, I’ve been scheduling my Instagram content via Planoly, and it has made SUCH a difference! The biggest difference has been with my ability to put out content that actually has a purpose, rather than just post a photo for the sake of posting a photo. Being able to sit down and plan the posts and captions allows me to revise and edit as needed, while also planning the posts for when I see the most engagement from my followers.

I’ll be the first to admit, I am not perfect at planning my social media, and there are PLENTY of other people who do a far better job than me. But what’s most important is that this is something that has made a difference in my work-week. I don’t dread having to come up with a post last-minute, or wonder if I missed the cut off time that day for the “optimal-time-to-post”. This way, I can plan ahead and put out content that serves some purpose, whether that be providing tips or showcasing new work.

Planoly is a free platform, but also offers paid plans with some more features. I use the Solo Plan for $9USD per month. I wasn’t able to use it to it’s full capacity with the free plan, so I opted to pay for it monthly, which has been a great decision for me and my business! Also, I will say, this post is in no way sponsored by Planoly. I just enjoy their platform! They also have an app, so you can use it on your phone. Since I do all of my work from my computer, I just hop on there one day a week and get everything set up. It’s been a life-saver!
